Research Spotlight- When Neurodivergence Meets Antisemitism

REGISTER HERE

Introducing 3G Philly's Research Spotlight Series. There is a ton of research being done in Holocaust and antisemitism studies and this series allows us to bring you an occasional glance into some of the most interesting and innovative work, especially work being done in the Philly region.

In this first installment, Liz Berger will discuss what antisemitism research looks like today, how she and her colleagues go about doing such research and her own area of focus: the intersection of Jewish identity, neurodivergence, and antisemitism on campus and beyond. While antisemitism on U.S. college campuses has received growing attention since October 7, we know far less about how neurodivergent Jewish students may uniquely experience and respond to it. Liz's research considers how greater understanding of these experiences can inform more inclusive campus conversations, interventions, and support for Jewish students.

Liz Berger is an antisemitism studies scholar and PhD student at Gratz College researching the relationship between neurodivergence and meaning making of antisemitism. Her work to combat antisemitism spans K-12, higher education, and international contexts.
